The Wuxi Shangxian Wetland Green Core Urban Development (279ha) creates a series of urban water landmarks. Our three approach streams: to create design strategies that draw from Wuxi’s rich cultural history, weave the ecology in nature-inspired urban developments, and embed low carbon technologies for sustainability. These developments enliven the wetlands, renew community interaction with the water, and seep nature into the new Wuxi fabric. Four developments elements: the Heritage Village, the Future Center, the International Convention Center, and the Hotel Complex, redefine this urban area as diverse cultural catalysts, creating a culturally rooted New Shore of Wuxi that blurs the boundaries between the new wetland and developments to bring people and nature together.
